CAPDTC to influence more

China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC) launched its 5th session of the 1st conference on December 16 in China People's Palace in Beijing.

Presided by Sita, vice chairman of CAPDTC, the conference welcomed more than 70 attendants such as Du Qinglin, head of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and Raidi, honorary chairman of CAPDTC.

On the conference, Zhu Weiquan, chairman of CAPDTC delivered the 2008 annual report as the following contents: Fighting against the Dalai Clique during the 3.14 riots and the Olympic torch relay; holding many forums such as the "China Tibetan Culture Forum"; playing an important role in international affairs; issuing many Tibet-related films, books and etc.; communicating with organizations from home and abroad; developing CAPDTC itself.

When talking about the working experience, Zhu stressed three points. Implementing China's policies is the foundation of CAPDTC's work, which is most important of all. In addition, the association should launch various work in its own style: Developing Tibetan culture as a non-governmental organization. Besides, cooperating with other organizations is beneficial for CAPDTC and its work.

At the end of the conference, Du Qinglin was elected as another honorary chairman for CAPDTC.
