Three sarcophagus tombs found in Bome county for the first time have the great value for researching the histories of eastern Tibet and western Sichuan areas.
Experts introduced that 5 sarcophagus made from stones had been discovered. The southwest frame of the largest sarcophagus with 1.2 meters long, 0.95 meters wide and 0.52 meters high had been exposed on the surface of the earth, and long rock slates could be seen in the southwest of the tomb. The tombs were filled in stones and sand mixed with some pottery pieces, skulls, ribs, and other remains.
Further cultural relics investigations will be carried out in 3 townships and 7 villages of Bomi County in one month.
