Bayi Town in Nyingchi sees buses

On August 19, 8 brand-new buses started operation in Bayi Town of Nyingchi Prefecture, which concludes the history of Nyingchi without buses.

"The buses help us not only save time but also spare money. They really bring great convenience to us," said Sola, the first passenger of No. 2 Bus.

Residents in Bayi Town mainly took taxicabs when they went out before, which was expensive. When it was rush hour, the taxicabs were always overloading. To solve the problem, the Nyingchi Bus Company put over 2.17 million yuan to purchase 8 large buses with the support from the local government. And two bus lines started operation:  20-kilo-long No.1 Bus with 17 platforms (15 min/each bus) and two 30-kilo-long No.2 Bus with 19 platforms (30 min/ each bus).
