The government of Lhasa City, capital of Tibet, has allocated 3.7 billion yuan RMB to the education sector since 1978, according to Tibet Daily.
The city now has 15 junior middle schools with 22,000 students, and 99 primary schools and 198 teaching centers with a Related:
Lhasa also has a special education school with 141 students, and a kindergarten with 729 children.
The enrollment rate for the primary school age children has reached 99.17 percent, and that for the junior middle school age children, 98.12 percent, and that for the senior middle school age children, 55.36 percent.
