The Lhasa Railway Station received nearly 5,000 passengers on the first two days of the Chinese Spring Festival transportation, according to the Lhasa Railway Station.
On January 30, the first day of the Spring Festival transportation, people are queuing up long at the four wickets. "We have made out a plan for the Spring Festival transportation. We will add more wickets and extend our working time if necessary," said Jia Nailin, deputy head of the Lhasa Railway Station said.
According to Jia Nailin, the peak of transportation might fall between February 25 to March 10, the time when students return to school. By then, the railway station will sell tickets for students 20 days ahead of departure time to ensure they can return to school on time.
