The year end meeting for environment work of 2008 in the Tibet Autonomous Region was on February 9 held in Lhasa, capital of Tibet, in which units and individuals, who did significant work for environmental protection of Tibet were awarded.
Meng Deli, vice chairman of Tibet, confirmed the achievements on protecting environment in the past year, and urged the whole region to enhance the environment in coming year.
